The Xiaomi 15 series has been in the news for some time now, thanks to multiple leaks and rumors floating around the internet. More recently, the company’s Group Vice President Wang Xiaoyan was seen holding the Xiaomi 15 Pro giving out a real-life image of the device. Now, we have the full specifications leak of the vanilla Xiaomi 15, courtesy of popular tipster Yogesh Brar.
Popular tipster leaks specifications of the upcoming Xiaomi 15
Per the tipster’s X post, the Xiaomi 15 could sport a 6.36-inch flat OLED display with 1.2K resolution and 120Hz refresh rate. Besides, the device will pack the Snapdragon 8 Elite SoC (aka Snapdragon 8 Gen 4) under the hood. Notably, the Xiaomi 15 could be the first smartphone to debut with the latest Snapdragon chipset.
Talking of cameras, the Xiaomi 15 could feature a triple-rear setup with a primary 50MP Omnivision OV50H sensor. Whereas, the main sensor will accompany a 50MP ultrawide shooter and a 50MP telephoto lens with 3.2x optical zoom capabilities.
As for the selfies, you would find a 32MP front-facing camera. Worth noting that Leica and Xiaomi have again collaborated this year to bring flagship-level camera experience to the smartphone. In addition, the Xiaomi 15 could come with 16GB of LPPDR5x RAM and up to 512GB of UFS 4.0 storage.
The device might boot Android-15-based HyperOS 2.0 out of the box
The device is further said to pack a large 5500mAh battery on the inside. It could also support 90W of wired and 55W of wireless charging, respectively. Moreover, the Xiaomi 15 might come with an IP68 rating for water and dust resistance. It is also worth noting that the device could boot Android 15-based HyperOS 2.0 out of the box.
While Xiaomi has been mum about the launch date, previous reports hint that the device could launch after the unveiling of Qualcomm’s flagship SoC. So, we can expect the Xiaomi 15 series to officially launch as early as October 23.
