LYNCHBURG, Va. (WSET) — The Central Virginia Transportation Planning Organization is working with the City of Lynchburg and the Greater Lynchburg Transit Company on a project to create a safer transportation network throughout the city, and you could be a part of the plan.
The goal of the project is to make Lynchburg a safer place for alternate modes of transportation, such as walking, biking or taking the bus.
The Lynchburg Multimodal Plan will propose strategies to develop a safer transportation system and make it easier to connect to GLTC bus stops and routes.

The plan is expected to be completed by the Fall of 2025 and will outline projects and strategies to make transportation safer and more accessible for everyone to access important places like schools, parks and jobs.
GLTC and CVTPO will use data analysis and community input to prioritize which project should be implemented first to meet the needs of residents.
That’s where you come in.
