You can now create a custom playlist cover within the Spotify app

Spotify has been grateful to its users in recent times as it has been constantly pushing new features to the platform. More recently, the music streaming giant expanded the availability of the “Music Videos” beta program to 85 more markets. Besides, it also introduced the AI Playlist feature a while back. Now, Spotify is adding a new feature that will let you create custom playlist covers within the app.

Spotify introduces a new feature that lets you create a custom playlist cover for your playlists

To catch you up, Spotify already has a feature that lets you upload your image as playlist covers. However, the new Custom Cover Art feature within the app will enable your Spotify playlists to pop up to the masses. It should be noted that this new feature brings some handy tools alongside.

You can use those tools to crop an image in desired shapes, such as hearts and stars. Then, you can simply place that cropped image against a background with colors of your choice. That’s not all, you also get to use some effects tools which include fish-eye and radial-blur effects.

You can further customize the text to add to the Spotify playlist’s title. Not to forget, you can also transform texts using effects so that you can add them to your images. On top of that, there are a bunch of stickers available that you can use to personalize the playlist cover.

Here’s how to access the new feature on the Spotify app

To create a Custom Cover Art, first, tap on the meatballs menu “” from one of your Spotify playlists. Then, tap the “Create Cover Art” option from the options that appear on the screen. Next, you can edit the cover art using the tools shown in the image at the end of this article. What’s interesting is that you can also share your custom playlist covers on social media.

Fortunately, Spotify hasn’t hidden this feature behind the Premium subscription. So, if you are using a non-premium account and are on Android or iOS devices, you can also try out the Custom Cover Art feature right now. Moreover, this new feature is currently in beta and is rolling out to 65 markets across the world.
