YouTube Premium Lite will miss out on a crucial feature

YouTube Premium has established itself as one of the most popular subscription services because of the benefits that it offers. However, the company is working on a trimmed-down version of this service called YouTube Premium Lite. According to a new report, YouTube Premium Lite will be missing one crucial feature.

YouTube Premium is one of the most fully-featured subscriptions out there. It gives you ad-free access to videos, the ability to download videos, a subscription to YouTube Music, and the ability to try out new features early.

Right now, we don’t know exactly what YouTube Premium Lite will offer. What we do know is that it will be a trimmed-down version of YouTube Premium. We’re going to need to wait for more information. Thankfully, it seems that YouTube will announce this payment tier in the near future.

YouTube Premium Lite could miss a pretty crucial feature

Many people who sign up for YouTube Premium do so for an all-around experience. Not only do you have access to the benefits of YouTube Premium, but you also get the benefits of YouTube Music. So, it’s like having two subscriptions in one.

However, according to a new report, it seems that YouTube will “Lite-en” the load when it comes to YouTube Premium Lite. It looks like you won’t have YouTube Music thrown into the mix. From what we know, you’ll get ad-free video streaming. We’re not sure what other perks YouTube will bundle with this subscription. Also, we don’t know the cost.

Losing YouTube Music support makes sense, as it’s the Lite version for a reason. It’s designed to give people just enough perks to warrant a monthly fee. That being said, we don’t know what other perks YouTube will strip away to keep the price down on this tier.

A report from Bloomberg mentioned that users will have access to a “vast library of podcasts and how-to clips without advertising.” That’s pretty specific, but we’re sure that’s just advertising babble from YouTube rather than a description of what you’ll have access to.

We don’t know if you’ll be able to download videos or try out new features early. We’ll just need to wait to see. According to the report, YouTube will announce this new tier soon in the U.S., Australia, Thailand, and Germany.
